2/23/2004 06:57:00 PM|||Andrew|||I just remembered, suddenly, something that has been nagging at me all yesterday and today. Something cool had happened to me that I knew I wanted to write about, but I couldn't remember what it was. And I just did, so I'm going to.

Yesterday at church, they had some missionaries come up and talk about their 18 years of service in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. They're now moving on to doing administrative work and working with Hispanics students in the university setting. That in itself was not particularly exciting or moving (anymore than hearing from missionaries usually is), but the slideshow they showed was. The amazing thing about it was, I felt like I was looking at pictures from home. The people, the churches, the poses, the smiles, everything seemed to remind me for those few, brief minutes of the Philippines. As they ended their presentation, I pushed away a tear.
