The kind that makes me want to call up the narrator and just talk to him about whatever. For anyone who's interested, you can read a bit about Wil Wheaton's take on the movie.
Here are a few choice quotes I was quick enough to jot down:
"We talked into the night, the kind of talk that seemed important until you discovered girls."
"It happens sometimes, friends come in and out of your life like busboys in a restaurant."
"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"
That last quote comprises the final words of the movie, and it got me thinking, remembering when I was twelve. I don't know if he's right or not, but those were certainly good times. Good friends. What more can one ask from life, really?
Oh this is good. Sleep beckons, and my mind swirls with pleasantness. Hush now...let the silence roll over like a warm blanket. This is very good.
