3/10/2004 11:15:00 AM|||Andrew|||It's such a marvelous day outside! It's the kind of day when I feel the glory of God all around me and it makes me positively giddy with happiness. It reminds me of the most excellent quote in American Beauty. (And to demonstrate just how much a perfectionist I really am, I'm going to pull out my DVD and actually get it word for word. But who's line to choose? Ricky's or Lester's? They're similar, yet different. Lester's. Yes, Lester.) And here, in Lester's words at the end of the movie, is the feeling I have right now:

"...but it's hard to stay mad when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once and it's too much. My heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst. And then I remember to relax and stop trying to hold on to it. And then it flows through me like rain, and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life."
